SCOPE OF PRACTICE

Dr. Carson Chin practices full-scope General Rheumatology and will see most consultations including inflammatory and non-inflammatory MSK cases. He is fluent in Cantonese. Some of the services offered, but not inclusive are:

• Joint injections and viscosupplementation (most large and small joints excluding the hip and spine)

• Injections for trigger finger, trochanteric bursitis and tendonitis

• In-patient Rheumatology consultations at Burnaby Hospital including complex multi-systemic connective tissue disease, vasculitis and inflammatory myopathies

Services NOT offered

• Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) injections

• Workers Compensation Board (WCB) related cases

• Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (ICBC) related cases

How to make a referral

Please fax 604-398-8281 with the following information: 

• Patient details

• Reason for consultation

• Any relevant labs and imaging

• Previous consults
